Mirroring Custom Parts

I have a part that I made in a part studio that isn't symmetrical, and I want to mirror it; however, when I try, instead of it working, the mirror strategy table says it's missing mirror element, and, for the life of me, I can't find anywhere online how to change that. Parts that I download from other people mirror just fine and have default mirror elements, so how do I give my own parts the ability to be mirrored?
