I am currelntly trying to make a complex shape in sketch mode how can i fill it in?

I am making a complex shape in on shape and i was wondering if you could fill in a shape in sketch mode because when i go to extrude it just makes an outline.Any help would be appreciated.

    Your shape isn't closed. If you want it to be filled, then it must be closed (it will then be filled automatically). Post a link to a public document for more help.
