How come my parts are taking up 123 Mb?

simon_russeksimon_russek Member Posts: 1
My partstudio consists of 8 small parts, very simple design. I don't understand why it takes up 123Mb because the design is so very simple. Am I doing something wrong?
My guess is, it would only take up about 5Mb if it was in Solid Works.

yes, I  agree with you , the size of the models created by onshape  is bigger than created by other traditional 3D software, I  think it is due to Onshape recorded every modeling step, these histories also take up some space . Actually it is very useful for designers !

Yes, history is to "blame" for this. Make a copy of your document to get rid of history and reduce size. Then delete the original.
