How Compatible is OnShape with SolidWorks?

I am about to undertake a project that involves using a program that can check the electric fields of a 3D CAD Solidworks File. I know that Solidworks Files can be converted into OnShape files, but cam this process be done in the opposite direction? Meaning, can I work in OnShape, and then transfer my file to Solidworks in order to make my CAD file compatible with the electromagnetic pro

    When you transfer you lose the history tree, you still can edit the model on Onshape moving faces or creating new feature and you can export it back to Solidworks, again you will lose the Onshape history tree in Solidworks.
