2D plan redraw then prepare for laser cut

dondon Member Posts: 2
I am a newbie, please have mercy when I choose the wrong category for asking.
I have some 2D plans (printed) of train locomotives, which are in a bad shape. I want to redraw them, apply edge joints like finger or t-slots and send it to a laser cutter. Drawings can im imported as background? Using sketch equal option between parts, sizes can be assured (same length), but angles? Would FeatureScript or another option allow finger or t-slots by recognizing the "equal"-ed sides of the parts? See makercase.com. What will happen when a different scale factor to the whole locomotive is applied? I hoped to find a video covering this topic but without success. Thx in advance for advicing - d
