define control points in opFitSpline and skFitspline

It would be great if it were possible to optionally pass control points into opFitspline. I'm finding two different projects that would be possible with this addition, but are really not possible without. It's simply proving way too difficult to deal with the sheer number of vertices required to control the shape without this.
I suspect the functionality is lurking in there somewhere. Splines defined in dxf files (>r13) also require defining the control points....
