If I draw a four sided box, how can I split it into four parts?

I know I could just draw a sketch with mitres then extrude each side as a new part. But say for some reason I decided to make life difficult for myself.
I tried extruding mitre sketches through the four corners then using the "split" tool, but that didn't work.
Any ideas, please? I don't know how to make this drawing editable unfortunately.

To split a part, you have to split it into multiple bodies. Your surfaces cut through the box, but none of them split it into separate bodies. If you create a surface that includes at least two of the miter joints, you should be able to split the part with it. Here's one way to do it.
