    You need to Split the circle or Trim it to add a radius dimension. You also cannot put a diameter dimension on a circle that has been trimmed or an arc (yet ... crossing fingers it gets added).

    In a sketch, you can always type in the radius dimension and multiple by 2. Whenever the dimension is edited, the equation will always reference the original value of the radius, even though it solves as/shows the diameter.

    For example, when I use a 1/8" radius to make a 1/4" diameter circle:

    In the dimension options box (where you set precision etc.) there is a toggle at the bottom to switch between radius and diameter as the dimension type.
