Glass for Windows for .stl part

Hi
A wall has several windows ( a small model to be printed) I want only the inside of to make a separate part to be printed in clear for windows. The part will be a strip along the inside of the wall covering all window spaces, at each window space the strip will go into the space level to the outside edge, (like taking a mold)
Windows all same size. How do you get the glass insert to fit the existing space. Needs to be a sliding fit (not tight)
Thanks

That said, this should at least get you going;
1) Make a block that is the same size as the wall. A neat trick here is to use 'Transform/Copy-in-place' before the windows are cut out.
2) Cut out the windows
3) Perform a boolean subtraction of the wall-with-windows FROM the copied-in-place wall (keeping the tool) - You now what the windows you want
4) OPTIONALLY - when performing the boolean, select 'offset faces' and create whatever clearances you want between the window panes and the openings.
I hope this helpsPhilip Thomas - Onshape5

Thanks for the info. I will give it a try. I see now how to make a sliding fit etc
