Sketch Offset UI - impossible to set for small areas?

Open a new document and draw 1x4 mm rectangle. Try to do an offset of 0.1 mm towards the interior. I find that impossible because: OnShape will set a 5 mm default offset and tell you that it cannot create it (fair), but you cannot edit the offset size until it is created (fail!).
