I actually got some quality project time Friday and was able to really use OS how we're be using it here at work.  I gotta say..once you learn the ropes and start to understand what each mate does what and why it's doing it, things are so much faster in assemblies.  

The slider mate is my new best friend.... Keeping my fittings on a 90 with out have to have that 90 be another mate is a huge time saver.

I'm still getting use to how assemblies already made and inserted in from other documents work with mates.  In my prior cad program, GeoMagic, an assembly was static when inserted. In order to move a part within that assembly I had to edit that assembly or have a configuration preset as to how I wanted the parts within the assembly.   In OS you can put a few limited mates on the linked assembly to keep it together then add specific mates once inserted.
