Performance, sheet metal - issues and thoughts

First - app working terrible bad in any PC browser (chrome, firefox, vivaldi) - all take long, framerate drops, jumps instead of rotating.
Second - using MMB to pan and right to rotate very often leads to close tab (when button is released), jump back in history, open new tab .. different browser - different things happen (no shortcuts and mouse macros involved).
Third - on android tablet (much weaker than pc) app works flawlessly ...
About sheet metal - it's awesome, almost all is there, two viewports (for bend model and flat pattern) are handy. Some things are unintuitive but one can get use to.
But bitch please - who come with "butt joint" name for "corner seam" ... please use some proffesional software and import some proffesional definitions. Strongly recommend here to get familiar with Autodesk Inventor which is superior in sheet metal area with functions and interface to any competition.
I was unable to convert flat solid 500x50x1 into 1mm thick sheet (500x50 of course), very strangely onshape add additional 5 parts to it ... When I draw profile of bended part (like side view) all went smooth.

What kinds of specs does your PC have? Onshape runs better on Laptops and Desktops with dedicated graphics cards. Use this page to check how your computer compares to Onshape's performance needs: https://cad.onshape.com/check
The behavior you describe of the page closing is strange. What operating system are you using? What browsers are you using? Does just your tab close or does the whole browser crash?
Maybe @paul_chastell can give you some feedback about our naming scheme.
To address only your last concern, the best way to make a 500x50x1mm thick sheet is to make a 500x50mm rectangular sketch and use the 'Thicken' option in the 'Sheet Metal Model' feature with a 1mm thickness. The 'convert' option is meant to be used to surround a space envelope (specified by a solid body) with sheets of metal (this is why the feature is creating separate sheets around your solid body).
If you don't like the mouse button configuration, you can change it. I'm personally using the SolidWorks layout.
Butt joint is, in my opinion, a perfectly acceptable expression. Also, professional has one 'f' and two 's' not the other way around.
I'd also be wary of your statement that Autodesk Inventor is superior to its competition in the realm of sheet metal manipulation...other opinions found online state otherwise.
