Bevel gears for right angle drive

It is possible to mate 2 bevel gears in a right angle drive configuration so that their rotation can be synchronized?

As I understand it, the "Gear mate" works for any two components, at any rotational ratio, regardless of their relative locations and aspects.

@Ronald The answer is yes. I had the same question and I did a test and it worked just fine.
