Issue Exporting Text engraved in part

patrick_LOGrepatrick_LOGre Member Posts: 12 ✭✭
Hello

I made a simple part and add text on it.
Then extruded (w remove option) the text from the part. result is ok.
But when I export this in DXF format for laser cutter/engraver, the result is bad.
The inner parts of the letters are missing.
what to do ?
thanks

    Patrick,

The best thing to do in this situation would be to submit a support ticket via the 'feedback' option under the '?' menu in your document.  That way we can have all of the relevant information and try to triage your issue.

unfortunately, as free user, ticket is not supported.
Nevertheless, the issue does exist :)

When exporting the face after cut , you are not selecting the inner parts of the letters, because they are separate faces. Try exporting the sketch containing the text. That should work better.

Wait, what?!?!?  Are tickets not supported in the free plan?

They are supported, just called "Report a bug" rather than "Feedback"

Just logged in with my free account to check this.  I see the "Report a bug" option under the "?" menu as expected.  Sorry for the unclear instructions earlier (to click the 'feedback' option), I believe the name of this menu option changed recently to be more clear.

To be clear: "Report a bug" will submit a support ticket to our team. This works for all users, free or pro
