How to make an assembly with rivets?

ryan_boswellryan_boswell Member Posts: 3
Hello,  I'm trying to model a part that is held together with rivets.  I'm fairly new to CAD but have done a few basic single parts so far, so maybe its just a CAD thing I haven't thought about yet.

I bet others have a better idea but I modeled an industry standard "set" brazier head rivet for the sheet metal thickness and then mated it to the rivet holes using the replicate feature just like a screw or bolt.  It looks like a rivet but has no other attributes.

That sounds like the right way to me
