Hi @chrisjh777 the name call you used is correct, it is related to this forum, not twitter. You will have got an email notification to say I used your name in a comment, that is the reason to do so.

To access the date drop down first you have to insert a drawing date,

then select the date and you will have access to the drop down. On a second look, dd/MM/yyyy is there.

OK,  wrt date format, the penny has finally dropped.  I successfully created a template that auto-completes 2 date fields using "d-mmm-yy" :)

I used "Date Drawing created" and "Date Drawing last updated".

What I have noticed is that source drawings for templates remains intact and, if I need to add more features to my templates in the future, all I have to do is:

    1.   Delete the current template,

    2.  Make changes to the source drawing.

    3.  Create a new template based on the amended drawing by exporting as .dwt

    4.  Rename the new template to something meaningful  e.g  A4 Landscape 3rd Angle Projection CJH.dwt.

Thanks to Pete and John for guiding me through.

    Regards
