Make watering can hollow?

Here's the file
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f2a571af71f0f4c3e01856e4/w/1d6e075b8f9190e6d4d92baf/e/7d0e0ec90fbc00f6591c08fc

Basically the watering can is solid right now and I need it to be hollow for obvious reasons, I want a thickness of 2.4mm but for some reason the shell function and hollow function won't work. Any help?

The shell command you have works as long as the thickness is less than 0.9mm.  When the shell command fails, it highlights a few vertices where the spout meets the container.   Personally I don't see what's causing this issue, but there must be some mathematical trickery induced by the lofts that you use to get the fluid shape.   I've had this problem in the past and there's usually not a great solution.  For this model, you could try breaking it into two pieces to do the shell, then doing a boolean union to join them back together.

It looks like you figured out a work around eventually.
