Non-destructive reassignment of origin entity?

Just ran across a minor but aggravating issue: when the origin entity of a mate connector is changed, the connector is repositioned with the same relative coordinates against the new owner entity.

This makes a certain logical sense, but in the use case where someone carefully positions a mate connector and then realizes the origin entity is incorrect (ahem, hypothetically speaking), the desire would be to keep the mate connector in the same absolute position and calculate the new relative values from the new origin entity.

It's better than what I've got -- but I was hoping to keep the mate connector on *an* entity so it moves as needed, but just change which entity it is on. In my case, I had it on a chamfer on the side of a block rather than on a face. I had the coordinates set up to put the feature *using* the mate connector in the right place, and fixing the origin entity moved the user around.

    Thanks!
