strange behavior of loft to build a airplane body

Hello
I have a printed drawing of a airplane model. Now I'll modeling this in 3D.
I took the sliced drawings of the body and did some sketches. After I used the loft feature I got a strange body.
What is my fault and how can I fix it? Is there maybe an other possibility to modeling my airplane body?

Your profiles change the number of vertices as we go down the aircraft so OS does not know which vertex to match with what.
Here is one approach using a pair of "3d fit spline" curves as guides.
