Why is the revolve object in blue vs. the other parts are grey?

I created six shell objects with circular pattern, and then in the center I created a sphere with revolve. For some reason, the sphere is a different colour than the other parts. In fact, the sphere isn't even a part..?? Here's the link to the document:

    @gianmario_scotti,

    In your revolve, use the "Add" option instead of the "New" option. and select "Merge with all" at the bottom of the dialog.

    "New" will always create a new part rather than trying to merge with existing parts.

    To do booleans like this, you can also use the "Boolean" feature with the "Union" option.

    You ended up performing a surface revolve which left you with a surface. I am assuming this is because you don't have the proper profile set up for a revolve action.

    Looking at your sketch you do not have an enclosed profile to create a solid body. The axis line you have set as a construction line right now should be a solid line (ps. you can still use it as the revolve axis).

    I now made it into a solid, so it has become Part 7, but it's still blue.

    Thank you very much Mr. Rosenfeld - that was very instructive and solved the "problem"!
