How Do You Create Arms and Elbows?

Hello! I am new to Onshape but my physics teacher recommended the forum if we had any questions since he was new to it as well.

I am fooling around and trying to create the character Waluigi and I was wondering how I create the arms. I tried mirroring the arms across the Right plane, but it wouldn't allow me to do that and creating an entirely new object resulted in an uneven arm. Is there any way to mirror one of the arms across the other side of the body?
I decided to move onto elbows, the surface was uneven from the arm and the curve. Is there an option to straighten and smooth it out? Would it require a centering of the path on the surface somehow?
Thanks for looking! Sorry if these are obvious

If you change the "Right arm" extrude to a "New" rather than an "Add", you will have a separate part for the arm. You can then design the whole arm and mirror it across the right plane when you're done. When you want to add the arms into the whole body, you can use the "Boolean" tool with the "Union" option to combine the parts.

As for the weird sweep geometry, you'll want the sweep path to start from the profile you are sweeping:
After you edit this sketch, you may have to go edit the sweep so that the sweep path is just the spline, and not the spline and the vertical line.
