Plane (Point Normal) With vertex and curve?

owen_sparksowen_sparks Member, Developers Posts: 2,660 PRO
Hi folks.

I was trying to answer a user's question in another topic and hit a snag.

I'd presumed it would be possible to create a point normal plane, with the inputs of a vertex and bridging curve:-

However OS is not impressed with my selection on inputs. :/

Is this something that should work but doesn't (ie bug report needed) or something that an IR should be raised for?

Cheers,

hm, what if you hide solid and select the vertex of curve itself?

    Hi @konstantin_shiriazdanov

    Worth a shot...

    I'll try it.

...but no joy, same error reported "Cannot determine rotation axis".

    Cheers for the thought,

then worth to try 3d fit spline instead of briging curve. it works for me. moreover, br-curve works too

Huh? Your original solution in the other post was dead on - the 3D spline with only 2 points is the same as a line.
I am actually a little surprised that the bridging curve worked! :)

    Hi Philip.

I posted this one first.  ;) I'd Tried the bridging curve, didn't work, so I posted this.

Konstan found the 3D spline worked so I went with that for the answer.

But now K has edited his post to pass on that he got the bridging curve to work too.

    Weirdness afoot.
