Designed an engagement ring in Onshape (with pictures)

Recently I used Onshape to design an engagement ring for my girlfriend (now fiancée!). I can't claim that I'm the first person to do this — see Greg Bejtlich's post here for another story — but I did go a step further in that I took the Onshape design all the way through to manufacturing. The ring was manufactured by a local casting company here in Sydney (Pure Casting) from my exported design files.

I have to say, seeing my design come to life in metal was pretty fantastic, I'm already thinking about what I might cast next. While I'm not a jeweller, I'm happy to try and answer any questions about casting or jewellery design based on my experience.
