How do I insert e.g. a 120mm piece of sealing list, cut of a roll, in an assembly and having the Openbom quantity reflect not 1 piece, but length of 0,12 meter? I see no possibilities in part properties dialog box
The consumption in meters should also be reflected in Openbom inventory.

If you define Part for Sealing list in OpenBOM Part catalog you can set UOM there and bring it as a separate property to BOM in Onshape. Would it be good enough?
For the moment, OpenBOM doesn't have embedded UOM support to convert it between mm to inches for example. It will come later and it will be BOM UOM defined for "Quantity" property in BOMs.In general there are 2 separate problems with UOM.1- UOM for Quantity property2- UOM for any property (eg. Mass, Length, Speed, etc.)For #1 the solution is to have additional place to specify UOM for every Item. You can do it today with additional custom property. We will bring support integrated for Quantity property, but it will be later. The real need to have it integrated is to be able to recalculate it between different UOMs (eg. mm to inches). Most of other problems can be solved by adding property to specify UOM. But I can miss some of your requirements, so please let me know. For #2, our recommendation is to include UOM in the name of the property (Eg. Price (USD)). By doing it, you make clear to everyone what UOM are used.claus_jeppesen817 said:How do I insert e.g. a 120mm piece of sealing list, cut of a roll, in an assembly and having the Openbom quantity reflect not 1 piece, but length of 0,12 meter? If so I'd set a custom property of say "Consumable Length" possibly tied to the "measure distance" featurescript and then go from there.
