Printing line weight

I would very much like to be able to specify that specific drawing elements be printed with a lighter line weight. See this:

The item on the right is printed directly from an Onshape. The one of the left was retouched using an item printed at a different scale and then resized to overlay the original. I understand the motivation to be consistent about line weights, but the item on the right is almost unusable in print form. Alas, post processing the image to generate the item on the left is a lot of work.
What would be even better is if Onshape would detect items requiring "delicate" linework and scale back the line weights accordingly.
