Does anyone know how to remove the mate connections logos? I selected "select all" after right clicking on an assembly and I can not figure out how to remove them.

Mate Connectors are hard to kill!
    Just kidding.
Usually just hitting the 'K' key (we are hooked on pHonics around here - K for mate Konnectors) will do it.
Stubborn ones usually come in with a 'derive' feature - simply 'hide' the derive feature and they will disappear.
    I hope this helps you.
