How do I mate assemblies together

When I import assemblies I can only mate parts of the assembly

    you might want to try this design pattern when dealing with layouts in a part studio and adding them to a top level assy. Basically add an additional an intermediate assy.

    part studio with 2 part:


    top assy, intermediate assy & 2 part part studio:


    part studio now with 3 parts:


    top assy, intermediate assy & 3 part part studio:


    Notice the top assy is positioned off the origin yet the 3rd component came into the correct position when added to the part studio.

    I know this adds an additional assembly to the mix, but it creates the part studio/top assy relation that I want. A clean top level tree, the ability to add easily to the part studio and it appears correctly in top assy.
