It would be nice to have an integrated app for Onshape for Laser, Waterjet, Plasma, Oxyfuel nesting and NC code generator.

Something like SolidNest that would run in the Onshape document

    There's an Auto Layout FeatureScript that some students wrote a couple years ago, which works pretty well.  This particular one uses a binary tree algorithm for speed, so it's only approximately optimal for rectangular parts.  There's also 2D Nesting for Laser Cutting on the Onshape App Store, which I haven't tried, but looks like it uses a NFP/Heuristic algorithm to deal with nonrectangular parts efficiently.

    Neither does the NC code generation directly, however.
