Drawing features: dimensions

Hi there,
I was wondering if is possible, in the drawing area, draw a circle or a hidden line and dimension it after, or if is only possible draw it using the snaps.

As far as I know, you cannot dimension lines or other annotations in this way.  Can you explain a little more about what you are trying to accomplish?  There may be another solution.

Actually, it looks like what you want may be possible by adding a sketch to the drawing view, which is an improvement just a couple of weeks old.  Here is the post that outlines the feature:
