Any quick way to do a draft on a complex shape?

The only way I think I can do it is by a sketch at the base then thicken the edge then a sketch on the top surface and then use loft for each letter. - long process. I want a 10 degree draft.

I had a little play with the geo and I can only randomly get some of the characters to draft to 10 deg. I also tried using a 2 steps process with the neutral plane at the top and the bottom. 

There need to to be a way to smooth the curvature on the side before adding draft

Have you tried extruding and choosing draft

Draft is built into the extrude command, you can just add it there and extrude the whole sketch in one go

no sorry doesnt work, only works on letters that can be drafted manually ie no tight corners to have draft overlap

It may be helpful if you post a link to your doc.  If you try to a draft after the fact (after the extrude) are there geometries that fail? Or is it just hard to select all the faces you want?  As a shortcut to selecting all those side faces you could use the right-to-left box select mentioned on this page:

Another way is to use the chamfer tool, this seems to work better than the draft on most character but still fails on some. 

It appears to show the failing region if you're careful when selecting. my next step would be to edit this region.

The issue it is all about certain geometries failing when applying the draft, I believe the only way to make it work is by creating sketches at the top/base and applying a loft by each letter.

Alternatively I need to manually adjust the letters geometry that the draft fails on.

The above loft method is the only way to keep the letter geometry original.
