Far side countersink

william_luckewilliam_lucke Member Posts: 7 ✭✭
I used the hole tool to create a hole with counterbore. How do I countersink the hole where it comes out of the far side of the part? The surface is curved and not perpendicular to the hole, so the chamfer tool does not produce a surface a countersink can cut.

Here's my take on it, there may be other better methods:-

    (a) Initial counter-bore hole as per your method.
    (b) Offset plane from the face used for the counterbore
    (c) Sketch on new plane
    (d) Original hole location projected onto sketch with the use function
    (d) CSK hole generated from the point created above.

    Points to note:-
    (i) The plane does not have to touch the part
(ii)  In the CSK hole the "start from sketch plane" option needs to be un-checked.
