Why in sweeping commend only part of a sketch is swept?

I have drawn solid cone and helical path on its surface. On one end of the sweeping path I have a sketch (remove option) that I want to sweep along the conical path.
Sweeping commend refuses to sweep entire sketch. Only part of a sketch is swept. In the browser SWEEP is always red .

As shown by the error message and error graphics, the sweep you're trying to accomplish is self intersecting:
If you make the sweep profile smaller it will work:
Maybe what you're actually trying to accomplish is something more like a loft with a path?
