Extrude Up to face with the Offset option should translate the face or use an offset surface

Currently Onshape creates the lower part of the image. Should Onshape use the equidistant of the face and create the top piece?
Or should it allow to select the option to be used (as it is done in SolidWorks)?

I may be misunderstanding your question, but currently the "Offest distance" option uses a translation of the face:





You'll notice that these two cylindrical faces have the same radius on their cross-section.




If you would like an option to do a true offset rather than a translational offset, please submit an Improvement Request.

I just wanted to know if other users think Onshape should add the option to do a true offset or not.
