Can you control a mate animation using featurescript?

For example, I'd like to have nonlinear ration speeds, and very long, complex animation movement involving multiple mates, controlled by featurescript calculations. Is any of that possible?

Though in some cases the moovement can be controlled by geometry itself, by using hidden reference parts like cams, and so on. The best would be to see an example of what you are going to achive.
