Loft for a fuselage

Hello everyone. I am currently trying to draw a fuselage for a model aircraft. I am having problems with the Loft function. I think it is easier to explain with a picture:

In the upper picture you can see the final profile an the vertex. The lower picture shows the problem. I don´t know why it looks like that...

Nice Philip - never noticed the guides.

@larry_hawes - I also recommend NOT lofting the 'V' cut - cut that in afterwards - get the fuselage lofting smoothly first

looks much better thanks. But it is far from perfect. The fuselage is still not round:

@o_krumm - its not round because none of the cross sections are round!!!!!!! 
I have modified the part studio to make it round

oh yeah i just saw it. Sorry for my bad choice of words. of course it is not round because of the elliptic faces. What I meant was that it is not as eliptic as I would expect. I also played around with the revolvecommand but I need the fuselage to be elliptic. I found a way around the usage of paths and/or guides but it is very time consuming as you need to adjust the faces all the time to get to the shape you desire:
