Forced snap of leader is different for different views

john_P37john_P37 Member Posts: 26 PRO
I have an object with a face at 45 degrees to the xyz axes.  If I show an auxiliary view, and want to add a Note with a leader to explain something about the surface, the leader is forced to snap to an edge.   On the regular orthographic views (front, top, side), this does not occur: I can put the leader anywhere I want.
The same problem occurs on the isometric views (which is where I really need to do this).

Workaround is not obvious to me at this time.
Thanks for any comments.

Found the workaround:     Delete the leader.   Add a new leader.  When you add it: If you want the leader to be in the middle of a region, don't let it get near an edge.  It will snap there and keep snapping there.
