Drawing does not change when part is changed!?

Ok, here i am again. Just discovered that a drawing is not updated when a part is changed. Generating a new drawing is easy in most cases, but not so when I have to add all the dimensions and other inserted stuff again. Is there no 'redraw' which keeps all the manually inserted data?
