is it possible to split this part in two?

Hey,

is it possible to split this part in two?
I would like to 3d print it in two colors. Problem is that the inner part should be black and the outer part white. My 3D printer can only print one color at time.
I mean that area inside the hole.

Thanks for your help ^^

    Maybe.

You can definitely split an imported mesh with the split tool - at least with simple meshes. You'll need to construct an approximation of the bottom surface or the outline of the bottom of that hole, depending on which way you want to split it. Do you want the round island to be part the second color or the first?

If you share a public document, perhaps people can help you.

Need some tutorials for that kind of mesh, to select the parts.

Unfortunately, there are a bunch of weird glitches with that .STL file and it's going to be hard to do any thing like what you want in Onshape. There are other tools out there which can process mesh files (e.g. Meshmixer), but I don't know how to use them.
