I have a part created in a seperate Part Studio that I would like to bring into differnt Part Studio I am developing in.
Here is the part link: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/de44882d188fa9e48020f7e1/w/f1025eaabf37ee7fa2c6b3a7/e/9305495a2c174b94b254657d
And here is the studio I would like to bring the part into: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/b6639c39e8b4f23049410673/w/bc5a9dcc16be385e733c5191/e/3c58cde2dca16963c08c6e9e
I would like to be able to maintain all editiable capability of the part if that is possible.
Could you instruct me on wither this is possible or not?
Thank you.

Derived parts is what you are looking for
Custom FeatureScript and Onshape Integrated Applications
Thank you. I had forgotten about that feature.
Your train looks fun! What is your end goal? Will it be 3D printed? Machined out of metal? Will it be functional with moving parts? Or more of a static model?
Thanks for your interest Nick. The models I do are all designed and 3D printed from original build records. They are static models for the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum. Here are some links to some that are already completed.

I'm doing a series of six historical locomotives that used to run on the Pacific Coast Railway.
Enjoy!
I am having some issues with the Derived feature. I create new versions of the document, and then try to derive the parts I need from that document, but it seems to get hung up at times. Is there a reason for that to happen?
