Hello, I'm new here and need your help. I have two different components and would like to connect them together. More specifically, inserting a closure into an object and merging it. Can someone here tell me how to do this? Thank you for your willingness.

If you are within a part studio, not an assembly, the two parts can be merged together with: https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/booleanparts.htm?Highlight=boolean
You can use the top right search bar to find it.

Hello, first of all, thank you for the answer. The parts should then be brought together. I mean merge the two files shown in the photo / glass and ball test
You could have each of these part studio in one document, then create an assembly studio and just Insert them and they would automatically be up to date with the latest version of each part studio.
How you currently have it, will require you to manually click update if you make changes to either document. To do it this way, make another document and inside that create an Assembly Studio. Within the Assembly Studio you can insert the Glas and Ball test part studios.

Hello, thanks for the answer. I just don't understand how I'm supposed to do that.
When you make a new document it will place an assembly tab in it. You can also create a new assembly by clicking the + button at the bottom left inside a document. While inside the assembly, click the insert button and insert your parts.
If your still having trouble, pick one of the starting Learning Pathways and those will walk you though how to use Onshape.
