Can someone explain what is happening here?
This is a peculiar result that occurred when I applied MoveFace to a face of this shape. It happens only through a narrow range from about 0.39 cm to 0.50 cm.
I'm simply curious how the app might be interpreting the transformation that would yield this result.
The construction is in the tab labeled "hex versus square" in the linked document.

That operation confused the core and resulted in geometry which fails to be tessellated for rendering. Hope we can recognize such behavior as an error and fail the feature instead of presenting this sort of picture.
Who be we??
It's interesting that the apparent surfaces are single-sided. When viewed from one side they are surface but when viewed from the other side they are edges.
The program doesn't know what to do with the geometry once you move that particular face past where this line joins the end
Sometimes I am amazed by my skills.
I have a particular talent for breaking software, but have never a way to employ it to generate income. 🤓
I wouldn't say its breaking the software in this case. You just pushed the geometry past its limit. But I share that skill as well. haha.
Perhaps "stumbling upon the limits of software" might be a more accurate description.
