Mate connector(s) created in Parts Studio are not showing up in Assembly

Mate connector(s) created in Parts Studio are not showing up in Assembly.
Toggle mate visibility (k)…. nothing
This feature has worked in other documents… What am I missing?

That is the solution. Guess I didn't understand the owner entity dialog box
The mate connector was offset from the part so it didn't automatically associate it with the part.

Are the parts versioned? Did you add the MCs after the last version was created and added to the assembly?
Is the part inserted into the assembly the owner of the mate connector in question? (This has to be set in the part studio in the mate connector edit dialog before inserting into assembly)
Picture to go along with martin's answer.
I created the part and the assembly, so I believe I'm the owner.
The parts are not versioned and were inserted in the assemble after the mate connections were created.
The “owner entity“ needs to be the part, not “point of sketch 1”.
