New custom feature: Split Edge by Points

With this feature you can split curves and edges in multiple places based on reference geometry. It's super handy for surfacing work. Here's a link to the feature, and here's a video tour showing the deets.

Very cool. It would be great if your UX for selecting/defining vertices was available in other features (e.g. Bridging curve).

well hopefully something better than my UX, but yes i agree. I really wish I could set which query field is active based on the point manipulators so you could click a point, and just select a reference, instead of having to scroll and find it in the list

@EvanReese That sounds like a really good improvement request. I did a quick search and didn't find anything like that.

That's a cool one! Many use cases. Identifying the exact point is crucial.

I'll second that! It's a real skill: I tried creating a couple icons for a couple of our in-house custom features and they basically looked like random blobs when scaled down!
It took several attempts just to get something vaguely recognizable!

    Oh yeah: cool feature too!

Thanks! I actually also finally made one for 3D Points at the same time as this one since I find myself using the feature honestly more than I expected.

Looking forward to trying this on some upcoming frame projects at Trek bikes. Thanks!
