How to best mate a single bend putter shaft to a putter head

Hello, I have a mate connector/assembly problem that Im looking for help with. I am trying to attach a putter shaft that has a single bend to a putter head. I care about a few key constraints, other than that I want the rest to be derived from the constaints:

  1. Shaft offset relative to putter head (Y distance)
  2. "piece point" the point at which the putter shaft enters the putter head
  3. The depth of entry from the "pierce point" should be 10mm.

In solidworks, I would mate the center axis of the upper portion of the shaft to an "offset plane", make the pierce point coincident with the center axis of the lower portion of the shaft, and finally set the distance between the pierce point and the end of the shaft.

I get the concept of mate connectors and think it makes things a lot easier in many cases, but I struggle with this case because I want to set the position of the shaft and then use that to derive the cutout/hole from the putter head.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best do this? Here are some photos to help

The head mate connector should be placed at the part studio level and assigned to the part. It will make it easier so that you can reference sketches instead of having to use assembly mates. Then, all you need to do is use the fasten mate to connect the head mate connector with the rod mate connector.
