Inserting imported PNG into sketch

Hi,
I'm having problems importing a PNG file into a sketch - it renders as a dark grey rectangle.
When the file is viewed in its browser tab it's fine.
Not a show stopper because JPG imports work but it would be good to understand the problem.
My test document is here:

Any thoughts appreciated.
Thank you.

The max image size allowed in sketch background will be GPU dependent, and you can check yours out here: https://webglreport.com/
In my case I have (MacBook Pro M1)Indeed by resizing your PNG to be width = 16384 it works fine as a sketch background.

this may be worth a support call for a bug report. beats me anyway
You must be hitting some kind of max resolution or file size with that… resizing it to 90% allows it to work. your jpg is much smaller resolution.

Thank you all for your replies.
@GregBrown - I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and the textures report is identical to your MacBook.
