How to keep different parts, based on different sizes in a sketch?

I would like to start with a design and from a common base design to branch into different parts. Here is a link for very simple part(s) that come from a common attachment point and then branch into different parts.

If I organize well enough, I can put different features in folders and then suppress or unsupress the folders, which is only a work aorund. I would like to have all parts generated.
And when it comes to subtle differences they alway reside in a single sketch and I cannot supress or unsupress it. So here I would like to have parts with different holes diameter:

I think what you are looking for are "configurations"…
Or possibly a better option would be to create the shared geometry in a part studio and then use the "derive" to bring that into different part studios where you add the specific features you need.1

Great, derive works for parts, but what if I want to make a new part / holding an entire assembly? Derive does not allow me to derive from an assembly.
I'm with Eric. derive is not really the correct tool for what you're doing. Draw the common connecter in a part studio then set up configurations when adding the additional addons to the connector. The configuration just need to suppress addons of other variants. When adding to assembly pick the variants needed.
Sorry but Eric says "a better option would be to … use the "derive"" and it works.
How can I use derive from a whole assembly?
I have the assembly and I want to build around it. How can I do that?
Here is a simple sample of a configured part studio, Just configure suppression. When inserted in assembly just select the one you want. The assemble/subassembly tab can be configured the same way.
From your original note, the hole feature can be configured as well.
Derive into separate part studios works as well but this is more effective as the project progresses including less tabs. Also, derive uses more system resources and will slow things up as the document builds. In the end the choice is yours.
