Program SpaceMouse button to "clear selection"

scott_lakescott_lake Member Posts: 7 ✭✭

Because of the irritating multi-select nature of OnShape's left mouse click, I want a keystroke or spacemouse button I can program to clear selection (Please OnShape, give us the ability to change the default select mode!).

I can't see how to change the button features of 3DConnexion space-mice, from the defaults.

This request shouldn't even be necessary but since it doesn't appear one can change OnShape's defaulted multi-select, I'm looking for a workaround.

The space bar is the default shortcut for "clear selection"…

The 3dconnexion configuration tool allows you to define macros for keystrokes. It so happens that "Shift" is one I have defined….
Also, since upgrading to the SpaceMouse Enterprise I enjoy that there is a physical Shift key on the device.
