How can you wrap/ project a pattern onto an irregular lofted surface? Is it possible?

I have a model that I created with a loft and have it both has a solid and a surface. I am trying to wrap a pattern/text around it to give it some character. I know wraps only work with cylindrical surfaces, so how do I add texture to this surface? Can this be done in Onshape, or should I use something like Blender/ZBrush?

in modeling, wrap and decall are only available for cylindrical and conical shapes i believe.

you could project (sketch) curves onto the lofted face. I doubt that's what you're looking for, but it's possible.

@andy_miller859 Attractor Pattern is what I usually reach for (since I wrote it), but the Texture feature by @MichaelPascoe is also good at this kind of thing.

However a lot depends on the kind of texture you want. If it's geometric, and fairly coarse (like a hexagon pattern), these custom features are good. If you want something organic, like leather, or super fine, like tiny bumps, then Blender, zBrush, or some other mesh-centric modeler will be better.

The Attractor Pattern did exactly what I needed. Thank you!!
