Part Configuration

JOHN_VASANTHJOHN_VASANTH Member Posts: 8

I created 9XXX parts which will be similar to 9YYY and 9ZZZ , So i created as a part configuration and saved in 9XXX number . My 1st question is Is this correct way to save in 9XXX or i should have saved in some common number like 9XYZ ? 2nd question : How to use the 9YYY part inside asm, i couldn't search the 9YYY or 9ZZZ part from search . . . I can search on 9XXX part then can select 9YYY or 9ZZZ part . is there any other way

i guess a common number like 9XYZ makes sense to name the Part studio. this is what you'll navigate to for insertion into the assembly.

And then through configurating the partname along with the part itself, you could change into 9XXX/9YYY/9ZZZ so it will show up properly in the assembly and BOM
