Snaps/grid lines in drawings

Richard_InvRichard_Inv Member Posts: 23 PRO

Is there a way I can turn on rulers/grids of some sort in a Drawing tab? Or if not, any workarounds?

We're trying to export PDF technical drawings of our products, and want them to align consistently on the page across each of our PDFs.

It would be nice if there were a way to align / snap non related views and entities together.

What I usually do is draw a horizontal or vertical line across the entire sheet and keep it off screen. When I need to align something, just drag the line back onto the sheet. It's pretty fast.

Or if you want even faster, download microsoft power toys, you can use the on-screen cross hairs to line things up. Mine is set to (Win + Alt + P) to activate or deactivate.

Does not exist. I think there's an existing improvement request you can vote for. Slightly more cumbersome..... I'd suggest making a part studio and creating a sketch of construction lines for the grid using sketch pattern and variables for customizing. Don't forget to put in some locator entities...Like paper edges and corners. Then insert the sketch on the page you want to align accordingly.
